What is Dunbrack Everyone Plays ?

The Halifax Dunbrack Soccer Club (HDSC) was first established in 1993 to serve primarily the residents of the Fairview/Clayton Park/Rockingham and other west-side areas of Halifax. We have players who have gone on to play at various levels all over the world, but we pride ourselves on developing great citizens. We have teams from U4 up to Senior, recreational and competitive.

The purpose of the Dunbrack Everyone Plays initiative is to reach out to our community to help kids who want to play the game get on the field. We believe that nobody should be turned away from playing because of cost, and we feel that as one of the oldest not for profit groups in our community, we have a duty to give back in a meaningful way.


What will HDSC Provide?

- Assistance to those who need help applying for Kidsport or Jumpstart
- Assist in covering additional cost for fees or equipment by using funds that have been collected through fundraising specifically for this cause, or from other donations
- Provide an opportunity to kids who might not otherwise play organized soccer the chance to get on the field
- Put on great events to raise funds!

Who Qualifies?

- New immigrants to Canada
- Those who also qualify for Kidsport or Jumpstart programs
- Low income households
- Families facing financial hardship
- Families who may be able to donate some of their time to the Club in a volunteer capacity

How do I Apply?

Applicants to the Dunbrack Everyone Plays funding initiative must first apply for Kidsport and/or Jumpstart funding, and have been a member of the club in good standing for two seasons, before their Dunbrack Everyone Plays application for funding will be considered.
