Why does it seem everyone else is getting club updates but ME?

Our club website is the main source of communication to our membership.  Receive updates when they happen by navigating to www.dunbracksoccer.ns.ca.  Fill out the ‘subscribe to updates’ section located to the right of your screen.

 

Who do I contact if I have an issue?

If your issue involves registration, billing, sponsorship, communication or  website please contact our club admin dunbrack.sc@ns.sympatico.ca

If your issue involves on pitch activities please contact the appropriate Technical Director.

 

When will practice schedules be posted?

The initial training schedules for Tier 1 & 2 teams will be posted on the website.  Team managers will forward remaining training schedules as turf and grass fields are confirmed by HRM

 

When will game schedules be communicated?

Games schedules are set by the leagues.  HDSC team managers will communicate once available.  You may also refer to the league websites for details.


Where do I find out about game and practice cancellations

CANCELLATIONS - Team managers will communicate cancellations; in the event this does not happen you may refer to the following:   

GRASS FIELD cancellations are controlled by HRM refer to http://www.halifax.ca/rec/field_conditions.asp If fields are closed the practice/game is cancelled.

TURF Practice/Games will go forward in all weather.  Delays/Cancellations will only occur if there is lightning in the immediate area. This decision will be made at game time.  Please arrive at your game or practice.

 

What is the club Refund Policy?

Withdrawal and Refund Policies

All refund requests must be submitted to the HDSC office in writing by email to dunbrack.sc@ns.sympatico.ca. Please allow 3-4 weeks for refund processing. All refunds are issued by cheque regardless of payment type. In the event that HDSC is unable to field a team or provide a suitable program alternative to a player, a full refund will be issued. Players will be refunded any difference in program fee if applicable once player placement sessions are completed and rosters are set. Refund requests made due to special circumstances (family transfer, injury, etc) will be issued at the discretion of the HDSC Executive. No refunds will be issued for players who are suspended or expelled from HDSC. No refunds will be issued to players who fail to return their jersey. See below for refund request deadlines by Program:
    
Foundation Program (U4/U6/U8C/U10C):
·         Refund requests received before May 15th - 100% of their paid registration fee (less $35 administration fee)
·         Refund requests received between May 15th and June 30th - 50% of their paid registration fee
·         Refund requests received after June 30th are ineligible for a refund
 
Skills Centre/U12C/Youth/Senior Programs:
·         Refund requests received before May 1st  - 100% of their paid registration fee (less $60 administration fee)
·         Refund requests received between May 1st and May 31st – 50% of their paid registration fee
·         Refund requests received between June 1st and June 30th – 25% of their paid registration fee
·         Refund requests received after June 30th are ineligible for a refund

 

What is the club NSF Cheque Policy?

All cheques must be made out to ’Halifax Dunbrack Soccer Club (HDSC’). There is a $50.00 NSF fee on all returned cheques.

 

Will I receive a tax receipt?

Tax receipts may be printed directly from the HDSC website.

1. Click on Registration and Account Signin.

2. Put in the first name, last name and date of birth of the child.

3. Put in the access code. If you do not have one, click on “retrieve your access code”. You will have to enter the first name, last name and date of birth of the child, and the access code will be emailed to the email on the account.

4. Once the access code is received in the email, return to Step 2 and enter the access code with the first/last names and date of birth.

5. Once it is entered, the history of the registrations and the tax receipts will be available in the Tax Receipts tab.
