Club Technical Staff

The experience of our players, coaches, parents and volunteers are in large part moulded by our technical staff. Our Club Technical Staff all work hard to ensure our players and coaches all have opportunities to develop their skills and love of the game.

In addition to our coaches and training staff, the club is proud to have the following people as leaders within our technical group. They will ensure that players and coaches are all receiving the training and feedback they need to get better. As well as answering questions parents, players, and coaches have.

Jack Hutchison - Technical Coordinator

Two-time AUS Coach of the Year, Jack Hutchison, is the Halifax Dunbrack Soccer Club Foundation Program Coordinator. Jack, an alumnus of Dalhousie University, holds a Bachelor of Education. He began his career in education with the Halifax Regional School Board, where he has remained for over 30 years. He is a well-recognized and respected coach in the Nova Scotia and University soccer community, coaching players of all ages and skill levels throughout the years.

It is Jack's job here at Dunbrack to instill a love of the game when players first start playing. As well, he is responsible for ensuring that these players pick up the basics early on in a fun and supportive environment. Through the strong technical staff that forms Jack's coaching team at this level, we feel we have the strongest team that any club could have to develop early on a passion for soccer.

Tier 2 Program

Halifax Dunbrack Soccer Club's Tier 2 program offers development for youth players ranging from U10 - U18, both male and female.  The tier 2 program is also sub-divided into different levels of competition, in order to offer each player the best opportunity to play with other players of like interest, competitiveness and ability. The program relies on volunteer coaches for it's teams, while still upholding standards set by the province and the CSA, in order to maximize the quality experience of tier 2 play.  Although the structure of the tier 2 program supports many needs of players, the club would also like to produce as many life long players as possible.  Whether the athlete wants to play at the highest levels or just recreationally, we encourage our players to make soccer part of their life beyond their time in our youth programs.

At Dunbrack, we utilize several highly qualified and well regarded soccer minds in this program in order to provide the best training opportunities for all of our kids. We call these people our Program Coordinators and they manage the coaches and give technical sessions weekly to each of the teams in their areas.
