Dunbrack U15AAA Girls at the Surf Cup

The weekend of July 29th - July 31st, the Dunbrack U15 AAA girls had an experience of a lifetime participating in the prestigious Surf Cup in San Diego, California.
Five hundred teams! Boys and girls ranging from 13-19 years of age braved the strong competition and the hot sun over the four days.

The Dunbrack girls challenged and surprised in every game. The strong competition from northern, Southern California and Hawaii were a great test of character for our young ladies.
Day 1, the Dunbrack girls were surprised by Santa Rosa United 02 ECNL 5-0 in their first game. Santa Rosa ‘s roster consisted of several state players and a member of the US National Woman’s u16 team.

Day 2, the girls responded with a formidable display of soccer in a late 1-0 lose to Hawaii Heat FC. Later in the day, the girls persevered in a late 2-2 tie with BYSC Corona United.

Day 3, the girls finished off their consolation game with a strong performance in an end to end, attacking 3-1 lose.

The girls took advantage of the great football but also appreciated the beautiful California beaches, the thrilling Universal Studios ,the famous San Diego Zoo and of course, the very busy factory outlets.
